Gift Card Policies
These policies cover gift cards bought and exchanged through Chyto. See also our General Policies and Terms of Service.
Buying Gift Cards
- Gift cards are purchased using your Chyto balance or a linked credit card.
- An 8% Chyto fee (shown as "Tax") always applies to every gift card purchase, on top of the face value. For example, a $50.00 card costs $54.00 in total.
- Purchases are fulfilled by our gift card provider, Giftronaut. Availability of brands and denominations depends on the provider.
- Your account must be in good standing and identity-verified to purchase.
Delivery of Codes
Once fulfillment is confirmed, your gift card code is delivered inside the Chyto app. Codes are for your personal use: keep them secure, as we cannot restore a code that has been viewed, copied or redeemed by someone else after delivery.
Exchanging / Selling Gift Cards
- Accepted cards: currently, only Google Play gift cards are accepted for exchange. Other brands cannot be exchanged at this time.
- Exchange percentages: you may exchange 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% of a card's remaining value.
- What you receive: for the exchanged amount, you receive 70% of that amount credited to your Chyto balance. The remaining 30% is Chyto platform revenue.
- Verification: every step of the exchange is verified — card validity, remaining balance, code authenticity and fraud screening — before any payout is made. Exchanges that fail verification are not paid out.
Returns & Refunds
All gift card sales are final. Once a card has been fulfilled and its code delivered, it cannot be returned, refunded or cancelled, because the code has been issued by the provider and cannot be un-issued.
Fraud Policy
Gift card fraud — including using stolen cards, stolen payment methods, codes obtained through scams, or repeated failed exchanges — is strictly prohibited. Suspected fraud may result in withheld payouts, suspension or termination of your account, forfeiture of funds where legally permitted, and reporting to law enforcement. If you are asked by anyone to pay with gift cards (for example, by a caller claiming to be from a government agency or tech support), it is a scam: do not share your codes and contact us immediately.
