Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026. These Terms govern your use of the Chyto app and website. By creating an account or using Chyto, you accept these Terms.

1. Eligibility

2. Account Security

You are responsible for all activity on your account. Keep your password and device secure and notify us immediately through our contact form if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend an account we reasonably believe has been compromised.

3. Biometric Login Consent

Chyto offers optional biometric login (fingerprint or face unlock). If you enable it, you consent to your device storing and using your biometric data to unlock the app. Your biometric data is processed by your device's operating system — Chyto does not receive or store your biometric identifiers. You can disable biometric login at any time in the app or your device settings.

4. Loans

5. Gift Cards

Gift card purchases and exchanges are governed by our Gift Card Policies, including the always-applied 8% Chyto fee, provider fulfillment via Giftronaut, the no-returns/refunds rule on fulfilled cards, and exchange rules (currently Google Play cards only, 70% of exchanged value to you).

6. Payments & Transfers

7. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting support, subject to outstanding loans or pending transactions being settled. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms or our General Policies, if required by law, or to protect Chyto, its users, or the public.

8. Limits on Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chyto is provided "as is" and "as available". Chyto is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the services is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid to Chyto in the 3 months before the claim, or (b) CAD $100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia, unless consumer protection law gives you a right to a different forum.

10. Changes & Contact

We may update these Terms; significant changes will be communicated in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
